I did not know how this would turn out as it was done pretty well entirely with a knife and not brushes. As it is portraiture, how would it go with skin tones?? One has to rely on the impressionist element; the individual dabs of color may not be accurate but combined they give (hopefully) the right impression. Lots of trial and error and mess and re-doing bits! I was going for the feeling of youth and aliveness and getting energy together. Original is oil on board 10mm thick, 60cm wide and 120cm high, so it is quite heavy. Prints are available of course.
